TEMPE, Ariz. – Morningside Men’s Tennis made more history, as the Mustangs received their first ITA All-America nods.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — A couple days after making history, the Morningside men’s tennis team talked about raising the bar for the 2026-27 fall and spring season.

MOBILE, Ala. – After a pair of wins in the first and second rounds to make program and Great Plains Athletic Conference history, Morningside men’s tennis’ season came to a close in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men’s Tennis National Championship quarterfinal round, falling 4-0 to third-seeded Keiser.

MOBILE, Ala. – For the second time in as many days, the Morningside men’s tennis team ventured into uncharted territory, as they became the first Great Plains Athletic Conference team, men’s or women’s, to ever reach the quarterfinals of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Tennis Championship following an upset of sixth-seeded Xavier, 4-3.

GREENWOOD, IND. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) revealed its list of Academic All-District honorees for men’s tennis yesterday. Morningside had three athletes listed in the release, as Jesse Gerth, Alexis Diaz, and Mathys Arnold all were recognized.

MOBILE, Ala. – As the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the first round pairings ahead of the NAIA Men’s Tennis National Championship, Morningside’s men’s tennis team’s outlook for the first round seemed as promising as ever, as the Mustangs were set to match up with Bethel, a team that it had defeated 4-3 earlier this season.

Dating back to the first match of the season, the Morningside men’s tennis team set two goals: return to the national tournament and win the first national tournament dual in program history.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside placed multiple student-athletes on the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office. Highlighting the honors, Marcos Menendez Hervella was named GPAC Player of the Year.
