Gerth’s unbeaten week earns GPAC recognition

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside’s Jesse Gerth has been named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside's Jesse Gerth has been named the GPAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.

Gerth, a sophomore from Zoetermeer, Netherlands, went 2-0 in the Mustangs' 4-3 victory over Bethel. He earned a 6-3, 6-4 win in singles play -- his third straight singles victory -- and teamed with Mathys Arnold for a 6-2 doubles victory.

Gerth is now 12-7 in singles and 18-4 in doubles this season.
