SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside's Mathys Arnold was named on Wednesday the GPAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Arnold, a sophomore from Charmey, Switzerland, went 4-0 in completed matches during the week. Two additional matches were ruled no decisions after the duals were clinched by team score.
In one of those unfinished contests, Arnold was facing ITA No. 15-ranked Santiago Sarudiansky of Huntington. Arnold won the first set 6-1 and held a 4-3 lead in the second set before the match was halted when the team result was decided.
Arnold hasn't lost a singles match since Oct. 10, 2025, and holds a 22-3 record.
He also won both doubles matches with teammate Jesse Gerth last week. The two only lost three games in both match wins.
