Three Mustangs Named NAIA All-Americans
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Morningside men’s tennis more than doubled its program total for National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-Americans this season, as three Mustangs were named to this year’s list.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Morningside men's tennis more than doubled its program total for National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics All-Americans this season, as three Mustangs were named to this year's list.
Marcos Menendez Hervella received first team accolades, marking the first time that a Morningsider has been named to first team honors. The sophomore went 18-8-1 in countable team singles matches and 16-10 in doubles.
Alexis Diaz was named to the second team, also marking the first time a Mustang has received second team honors. Diaz, a senior, went 17-6-3 in singles and 16-10 in doubles alongside Menendez Hervella.
Mathys Arnold was named a third team All-American, following a 20-2-5 season in singles and a 21-5-1 season in doubles.
All three Mustangs were first team Great Plains Athletic Conference all-conference selections in both singles and doubles.
