Mustang Men Head to GPAC Championship to Defend Title
OMAHA, Neb. – Morningside’s men’s tennis team matched the women’s feat yesterday, earning a 4-0 win over Midland to advance to the Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason tournament championship match, a rematch of last year’s title tilt with Concordia.

The Mustangs grabbed the early advantage in the match, winning doubles with a 6-1 victory by Santiago Minetti and Gabriel Whiston and a 6-2 decision by Marcos Menendez Hervella and Alexis Diaz.
The middle of Morningside's singles lineup came through to finish off the match, as Mathys Arnold won 6-0, 6-1; Jesse Gerth won 6-2, 6-2; and Gabriel Whiston won 6-0, 6-0.
The Mustangs head into tomorrow's match defending their 2025 GPAC Tournament title, playing Concordia at approximately 4:30 p.m. at Genesis Westroads in Omaha.
