SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs outpaced the field at the Morningside Women’s Quadrangular today, winning the event that included Briar Cliff, Dordt, and Northwestern as all four teams wanted to keep themselves sharp ahead of the Great Plains Athletic Conference championship next week. Morningside’s winning total of the single round event was 326 strokes, or 38 over par, to finish 10 strokes ahead of the competition.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside University women’s golf sophomore Lucy Brown on Wednesday was named the women’s golfer of the week in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
LAS VEGAS — The Morningside University women’s golf team recently finished seventh at the Trailblazer Tournament, hosted by Oklahoma City at TPC Summerlin. The Mustangs turned in a two-day team score of 670.
Brown, a sophomore from Southport, United Kingdom, was the leading scorer at the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic last week. She had a 36-hole score of 157 at Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City.
The Mustangs beat Dakota Wesleyan by 13 strokes, turning in a team score of 622. On Tuesday, they turned in a team score of 313.
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Morningside Women’s Golf landed its’ highest placing finish of the season at Briar Cliff’s Lila Frommelt Fall Classic, collecting the event title while battling windy conditions with a two-round total of 643 strokes. Lucy Brown took the event’s individual title, with a 157.
MARSHALL, MINN. – The Mustangs found themselves among a field of regional National Collegiate Athletic Association powers this weekend, as they competed in Southwest Minnesota State University’s Mustang Invite. Morningside placed sixth in the field, trailing only NCAA DII teams in the standings as they finished with a score of 615.
