Four athletes earn WGCA All-American Scholar honors
CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. – A quartet of Mustangs were named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team, pushing Morningside’s program into the no. 8 spot on the governing body’s All-Scholar Team top 10 list.
CORAL SPRINGS, FLA. – A quartet of Mustangs were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar team, pushing Morningside's program into the no. 8 spot on the governing body's All-Scholar Team top 10 list.
Sophomores Lucy Brown, Aidan Sander, Alysen Sander, and Kendra Casey all received WGCA All-American Scholar honors, which recognize athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher that play in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled rounds and are on the roster at the conclusion of the season.
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 750 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
