FORT VANCOUVER, WASH. – A journey that took Morningside University to five top-five team finishes featuring a runner-up effort at their home meet in late September and a third-place mark at the 2021 Great Plains Athletic Conference meet less than two weeks prior wound up on the biggest stage for three Mustangs Friday, Nov. 19.
Seniors Emalee Fundermann (Anthon, Iowa), Kristine Honomichl (Westminster, Colo.), and Jo McKibben (Mapleton, Iowa) aim for Morningside University’s first National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ All-American accolades since 2017 when they compete at the 2021 national championships Friday, Nov. 19.
A senior trio consisting of Emalee Fundermann (Anthon, Iowa), Jo McKibben (Mapleton, Iowa), and Kristine Honomichl (Westminster, Colo.) will represent Morningside University at the 2021 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics women’s cross country championships.
