Mustangs split singles with Missouri Baptist

ST. LOUIS, MO. – Morningside's final match before returning to Sioux City pitted the Mustangs against (RV) Missouri Baptist. The Mustangs split the six singles matches with the Spartans, but Missouri Baptist's sweep of doubles gave it a 4-3 advantage.

Skander Ben Abdallah represented Morningside's first score, winning the no. 3 singles match 6-1, 6-2. Gustav Sjoberg followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at no. 4 singles, and Santiago Minetti capped the scoring for the Mustangs with a 6-3, 7-5 win at no. 2 singles.

Morningside has one more tune-up opportunity before conference play begins, playing Mount Marty at First Serve Tennis Center on March 20.
