Men's tennis takes two points from William Woods

FULTON, MO. – The Mustangs continue to challenge themselves in hopes of better preparing for their conference schedule, playing William Woods in Fulton, Mo. yesterday. Morningside fell to the no. 6 Owls by a score of 5-2.

After surrendering the doubles point Morningside got on the board with wins in the no. 3 and no. 4 matches. Gustav Sjoberg was first to score for the Mustangs, pairing a 6-2 score in set 1 with a 5-1 third set that was retired early. Skander Ben Abdallah also scored for Morningside, falling 6-7 in the opener after a 7-9 tiebreaker before picking up 6-1 and 6-2 wins.

Morningside wraps up its spring break matches tomorrow as the men play Missouri Baptist in St. Louis.
