Bickel scores twice to help Mustangs top Bulldogs
SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Jordan Bickel scored twice and Morningside used a strong second half to defeat Concordia 3-1 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play Saturday at Elwood Olsen Stadium.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Jordan Bickel scored twice and Morningside used a strong second half to defeat Concordia 3-1 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play Saturday at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
The Mustangs struck first in the 29th minute when Guilherme Mota finished off a feed from Leonard Hohner. Bickel extended the lead late, scoring in the 85th minute off an assist from Gustavo Dos Santos before adding a penalty kick goal in the 89th.
Concordia converted a penalty kick in between Bickel's tallies, but Morningside quickly regained control to close out the match.
The Mustangs outshot the Bulldogs 19-9 and earned five corner kicks while goalkeeper Timon Koerber made five saves.
Bickel led the attack with four shots, while Mota and Dos Santos each recorded points in the victory.
