Freshmen pace the Mustangs at Blazing Tiger

Madison Sporrer led the Mustangs with a 39th-place finish in the 6,000-meter race, crossing in 23 minutes, 9 seconds. Fellow freshman Stefi Besswenger followed close behind in 41st at 23:10, while junior Gabby Ryan placed 44th in 23:14.
London Rogge was the fourth Mustang to score, finishing 63rd in 23:41, and Natalie Point rounded out the team scoring in 99th at 24:18.
Also running for Morningside were Carmen Buschkamp (109th, 24:34), Breyer Anderson (116th, 24:41), Nicole Zuehl (152nd, 25:15), Ava Lang (194th, 26:17) and Jillian Fierro (229th, 27:16). Morningside placed 10th overall with 275 points, and will next compete Nov. 8 at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships.
