Mustangs receive votes in USTFCCCA poll
KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Morningside women’s cross country team on Thursday found itself receiving votes in the latest NAIA/USTFCCCA national poll, as voted on by coaches.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Morningside women's cross country team on Thursday found itself receiving votes in the latest NAIA/USTFCCCA national poll, as voted on by coaches.
The Mustangs received 77 votes, and was within six votes of the No. 25 spot.
Morningside has competed in two highly competitive meets this season in the Augustana Twilight Meet and the Greeno/Dirksen Invite.
The Mustangs finished 12th at the season-opener in Sioux Falls, then last weekend, they were fifth in the Gold Division at the Greeno/Dirksen. In the meet last weekend, three runners finished in the Top 50 that included runners at the Division II level in their division.
Up next for the Mustangs will be the Briar Cliff Invite next Saturday at 9 a.m. in North Sioux City, S.D.
