Sporrer earns Top 15 finish among tough competition
LINCOLN, Neb. — Senior Courtney Sporrer powered the Morningside women's cross country team to a strong showing at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational on Saturday, placing 13th overall in 18 minutes, 13 seconds over the 5,000-meter course at Mahoney Golf Course.

She also claimed seventh in the meet's "Gold" division.
Freshman Madison Sporrer followed in 72nd at 19:38, with junior Gabby Ryan (91st, 19:57), freshman Estefana Beisswenger (105th, 20:06) and junior London Rogge (120th, 20:22) rounding out the scoring lineup.
Senior Nicole Zuehl (125th, 20:28) and freshman Breyer Anderson (131st, 20:38) provided close support, while Natalie Point (158th, 21:19), Ava Lang (181st, 21:57), Carmen Buschkamp (183rd, 21:58) and senior Ikilas Hasan (208th, 23:17) added depth.
The Mustangs placed 11th overall with 347 points, competing against a large field that included NCAA Division I, II, and NAIA programs.
