Mustangs ousted in GPAC quarterfinals
SEWARD, Neb. — Morningside’s volleyball season came to an end Saturday night, as the seventh-seeded Mustangs fell in straight sets to second-seeded Concordia, 25-15, 25-13, 25-17, in the GPAC Tournament quarterfinals.

SEWARD, Neb. — Morningside's volleyball season came to an end Saturday night, as the seventh-seeded Mustangs fell in straight sets to second-seeded Concordia, 25-15, 25-13, 25-17, in the GPAC Tournament quarterfinals.
The Mustangs battled throughout but couldn't slow a sharp-hitting Bulldog squad that posted a .283 team attack percentage. Junior outside hitter Jacey Miller led the Mustangs with nine kills and 15 digs, while Payten Lode added six kills and five digs. Adelyn Harris chipped in four kills, and Victoria Bouska tallied five kills along with two solo blocks.
Setter Kyla Dyrstad dished out 18 assists and collected 15 digs, and libero Aubrey Sandbothe anchored the defense with 18 digs and an ace.
The Mustangs fought back in the third set, pulling even at 17-17 before Concordia closed with an 8-0 run.
