SIOUX CITY, Iowa — For the third time this season, Morningside University setter Kyla Dyrstad has been named the Great Plains Athletic Conference Setter of the Week.
Dyrstad averaged 12.4 assists per set across two matches last week. She tallied 50 assists in Friday's four-set win over No. 22 Grand View and added 37 in a sweep of Briar Cliff.
The sophomore from Papillion, Nebraska, has totaled 833 assists on the season, averaging 8.96 per set — the 23rd-highest total in the NAIA. She has also contributed 31 kills.
Dyrstad also won GPAC Setter of the Week in Week 3 and 4 earlier this fall. It's the first time a player has won a GPAC weekly award thrice since Kayla Harris did so in 2020.
