Mustangs fall to No. 6 Northwestern on the road

ORANGE CITY, Iowa — The Morningside University women's volleyball team dropped its first Great Plains Athletic Conference match of the season, falling in four sets to No. 6 Northwestern on Wednesday. The Red Raiders won 25-19, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19.
Morningside hit .351 with 18 kills in the third set, which was tied at 21 before back-to-back kills from Payten Lode and two Northwestern errors sealed it for the Mustangs.
Emma Haren led Morningside with 15 kills, while Lode finished with 14. Adelyn Harris and Sidda Hagedorn each added eight.
Kyla Dyrstad paced the Mustangs with 44 assists and 11 digs. Aubrey Sandbothe led the defense with 22 digs.
Harris tallied two solo blocks, and Victoria Bouska added one.
