Mustangs Place in Top 10 at Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa – Morningside turned in a pair of top 10 finishes at the Drake Relays, competing alongside some of the country's top athletes.

Courtney Sporrer placed fifth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running a season best time of 11:03.05 in the event.

The Mustangs also took eighth place in the college division 4x800 meter relay, as Morgan Sachs, Jolee Mesz, Madison Sporrer, and Nicole Zuehl laid down a time of 9:25.84. 

Morningside is scheduled to compete in the Grand View Viking Classic tomorrow.
