Sporrer takes pair of titles to lead the Mustangs at Central Methodist

FAYETTE, Mo. – A pair of first place finishes for Courtney Sporrer headlined Morningside Women's Track and Field's trip to the Central Methodist Invite this weekend.
Sporrer took the top spot in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:49.45, closely followed by Nicole Zuehl in fourth with a time of 5:01.08.
Sporrer also was first in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18.35.35. Gabby Ryan, London Rogge, and Lillian Dahlhauser followed in second, third, and fourth places, respectively. Ryan with a time of 20:34.02, Rogge at 20:41.35, and Dahlhauser with 21:23.74.
Jolee Mesz took fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:22.09, Morgan Sachs placed 11th with a time of 2:26.10.
The Mustangs' next meet will be the USD Early Bird on April 4 and 5 in Vermillion, S.D.
