Rogge, Sporrers lead Morningside at Concordia Classic

The DMR squad of Madison Sporrer, Kylin Smith, Jolee Mesz, and Courtney Sporrer took second in the event, behind Dordt, shaving nine seconds off their previous best time with a time of 12:25.01 and reaching the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics B mark when converted for the track size.
In Seward, London Rogge was Morningside's top finisher in the 5,000 meters, crossing the line in second in 19:24.29. Teammate Carmen Buschkamp was seventh, finishing in 21:08.14.
Courtney Sporrer took second in a competitive 3,000 meter run, with the top two times finishing below the meet record. Courtney crossed the line in 10:13.05, with teammate Gabby Ryan finishing fourth at 10:44.12.
Madison Sporrer and Nicole Zuehl finished in the top 10 in the 1,000 meters, with Madison Sporrer placing second in 3:08.79. Zuehl was fifth in the event, crossing at the 3:11.32 mark.
Morgan Sachs and Ava Lang finished no. 6 and no. 7 in the 600 meters, with less than three quarters of a second between them. Sach finished at 1:40.94 and Lang at 1:41.63.
The Mustangs run in the Wildcat Invite on Friday at Wayne State, with the indoor regular season nearing its finale and the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships on the horizon.
