4x800 takes eight seconds off qualifying time in NAIA prelims
GAINSVILLE, FLA. - Morningside’s 4x800-meter relay squad got its turn on the track this afternoon at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
GAINSVILLE, FLA. - Morningside's 4x800-meter relay squad got its turn on the track this afternoon at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
The Mustangs entered the field for today's race with a seed time of 9:36.55, representing the last time in heat one and second-to-last time overall.
Morningside, with team members Jolene Mesz, Morgan Sachs, Nicole Zuehl, and Courtney Sporrer, ran a 9:28.33 against some of the nation's top talent, shaving more than eight seconds off their time.
The NAIA national meet continues tomorrow, when Sporrer will run in the 800 meters.
