Morningside runs well at Mount Marty Last Chance meet

Jillian Fierro turned in a third-place finish in the 1,000-meter run with a time of 3:43.08. Shylah Abbot placed fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.82 seconds, and Lauren Wehrbein took fifth place in the 200 meter race at 27.69 seconds.
In field events, Kinsey Alt placed second in the long jump with a distance of 4.92 meters. Thrower Jacee Tindall took fifth place in shot put with a throw of 11.38 meters and Shelby Mills set a new personal record with her seventh place weight throw of 14.84 meters.
The Mustangs will be back in action Saturday at 10 a.m. in Wayne, Neb. at the Wayne State College Wildcat Open.
