Women's Tennis Opens GPAC Schedule with Sweep of Mount Marty

The Mustangs took the advantage early, with Jennifer Hubert and Grace Riha taking the no. 3 doubles match via forfeit. Kailee Bailey and Stefany Simplicio secured the doubles point with a 6-0 win at no. 2 doubles before Lara Heinrich and Helene Kreibich added a 6-1 win at no. 1 doubles.
In singles play, Simplicio and Ellie Peterson gave Morningside a 3-0 lead with a pair of wins via forfeit. Heinrich clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 2.
Kreibich followed her partner with a 6-0, 6-0 win in the no. 3 match, Line Jensen won 6-0, 6-1 at no. 1, and Jil Exelmans completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 4.
The Mustangs' next match is their home opener for the GPAC schedule when Concordia comes to town on March 28 for a noon contest.
