Mustangs resume season with BVU sweep
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NEB. – Morningside women’s tennis picked up where it left off last fall, advancing to 4-0 this season with a 7-0 sweep of Buena Vista.

The Mustangs got off to a strong start with wins by Jil Hellerforth and Lidia Suarez, Annika Meisel and Macy McDonald, and Faith TenHulzen and Mia Wenzel all winning their matches. Hellerforth and Suarez and Meisel and McDonald each collected 6-1 wins, while TenHulzen and Wenzel won 6-0.
Taking the 1-0 advantage to singles play, Line Jensen was first in the book with a 6-0, 6-0 win. Emma Dahlhoff followed with a matching 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 5 singles. Taylor Cole secured the win for the Mustangs with a 6-1, 6-0 win at no. 6 singles.
Sophia Guntren added to Morningside's lead as she picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win at no. 4 singles. Delfina Stuzynska won 6-2, 6-0 at no. 2 singles, and Emily Clotfelter completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 win at no. 3 singles.
The Mustangs prepare for the season's second meeting with Grand View, February 2 at 10 a.m. at South Sioux City's First Serve Tennis Center.
