Morningside keeps GPAC unbeaten mark intact
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Freshman Emma Dahlhoff registered her eighth singles victory, and the upperclasswoman tandem of junior Emily Clotfelter (Fairfield, Mt.) and senior Tenly Hansen (York, Neb.) reached a similar mark, leading Morningside University Saturday, March 26.
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – Freshman Emma Dahlhoff registered her eighth singles victory, and the upperclasswoman tandem of junior Emily Clotfelter (Fairfield, Mt.) and senior Tenly Hansen (York, Neb.) reached a similar mark, leading Morningside University Saturday, March 26.
Dahlhoff, a native of Vermillion, S.D., posted a 6-0, 6-1 triumph at number six, part of Mside claiming five of six singles victories. Clotfelter and Hansen held on 7-5 at number one play in doubles, helping head coach Alex Struck's squad win the team point.
The Mustangs' 6-1 decision over Concordia University upped their season record to 7-5 and 2-0 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference. It was the program's 10th straight in league play.
Morningside returns to action Saturday, April 2, for a clash with Midland University in GPAC action. First serve is 2 p.m. at the Mason Family Tennis Complex.
