Head coach Alex Struck's Mustangs stepped on the court against the University of South Dakota. Despite a 7-0 loss at the hands of the Summit League Coyotes, there were silver linings for the Mustangs, who slipped to 5-2.
Senior Tenly Hansen (York, Neb.), playing at No. 3 singles, took two games off Estella Jaeger in the second set. Juniors Emma Clotfelter (Fairfield, Mt.), Aleks Sadowska (Warsaw, Poland), and Merel Kooij (Rockanje Zuid, Netherlands) also earned game victories during their matches at No. 1, 2, and 6.
The Mustangs open four duals in four days in Hilton Head, S.C., Tuesday, March 8, against Brevard College.
