Morningside continues impressive 2022 start

Head coach Alex Struck's men's team picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win from freshman Alex Castillo (Santiago, Chile) en route to a 6-1 team victory. The women earned three such finishes from sophomore Jil Hellerforth (Luedenscheid, Germany), freshman Emma Dahlhoff (Vermillion, S.D.), and junior Merel Kooji (Rockanje Zuid, Netherlands) towards a 7-0 triumph.
Both sides gained the all-important doubles team mark to begin the evening. The men didn't drop a game at number one or two, and the women claimed all three slots including 6-1 finals at number one and two.
The Mustangs continued their weekend with an exhibition against National Junior College Athletic Association top 15 power Iowa Central Community College Saturday, Feb. 12. Struck's women's team takes the courts for their next official competition with the women hosting Grand View College and Northwestern College Friday, Feb. 18, at First Serve Tennis Center. The men are back in action Saturday, Feb. 26, traveling to Nebraska Wesleyan University to face the NCAA Division III Prairie Wolves and NWC
