YANKTON, S.D. – A quick start for Morningside came up short as the Mustangs boarded the bus to return home with a 2-2 tie.
Keyera Harmon netted a pair of goals in the contest, the first with just 6 minutes off the clock, registering four shots on goal in six attempts. The 2-0 advantage at the half proved not to be safe, as Mount Marty hit the equalizer with 20 minutes left to play.
Moriah Dixson, who took the draw in the goal, had a pair of saves in the contest.
The Mustangs, with just five conference matches remaining on the schedule, travel to Northwestern on Wednesday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
