Morningside finishes fifth at Northwest Iowa National Invitational
LE MARS, IOWA – Morningside placed in the middle of the talent-loaded women’s golf standings at this week’s Northwest Iowa National Invitational, placing fifth out of eight teams with a total of 859 strokes, 31 over par.

Kamryn Zuniga repeated as the Mustangs' highest placer, finishing even to tie for ninth place. Ivanna Becerra-Diaz followed at +8 to tie for 19th, Lucy Brown was tied at no. 24 with a +14, and Aidan Sander was one stroke and three spots behind, tied at no. 27. Macy Button finished 31st and Alysen Sander was 36th.
Morningside heads to Marshall, Minn. next week to compete in the the Southwest Minnesota State Fall Invitational on Sept. 27 and 28.
