Zuniga leads Mustangs at Mount Mercy Invite

MARION, IOWA – Kamryn Zuniga came on strong in day two of this year's Mustang Fall Invite, hosted by Mount Mercy University, moving up three places in the event's second round to claim medalist honors. Morningside finished four strokes out of first place with a team total of 632 strokes.

Zuniga, a junior from Choctaw, Okla. finished the two-round event with a 150, 6 over par. Lucy Brown shot a 154 for fourth place and Ivanna Becerra Diaz was sixth with 156 strokes. 

Morningside's JV squad begins this week at Briar Cliff's Lila Frommelt Invitational, while the varsity lineup plays at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational in Le Mars, Iowa, September 15 and 16.
