Mustangs Earn Top-Seven Finishes at NAIA West Bowling Tournament
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Morningside women’s bowling team turned in a pair of top-seven finishes while competing at the NAIA West Tournament over the weekend at Royal Crest Lanes.
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Morningside women's bowling team turned in a pair of top-seven finishes while competing at the NAIA West Tournament over the weekend at Royal Crest Lanes.
In the opening tournament, which featured individual game formats, the Mustangs placed fourth out of 16 teams with a total score of 4,536 pins. Emaly Kruse led the field for Morningside, finishing second overall after rolling 1,062 pins for a 212 average. Victoria Elwick added a solid performance, placing 13th with a total of 935 pins and a 187 average.
The women returned to the lanes for the second tournament in a Baker game format, finishing seventh out of 16 teams with a score of 4,244 pins to close the weekend.
Morningside is back in action in two weeks, competing in the 2026 KCAC Women's Bowling Championship, hosted by Ottawa, on Feb. 21 in Topeka, Kan.
