Mustangs place seventh in top-tier tournament
LAS VEGAS, NEV. – Morningside’s women’s bowling team placed seventh in the two-day Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational. The Mustangs rolled a total of 8,181 pins in the Tier 1 tournament, bowing out of match play in the quarterfinals.

In Morningside's ninth game, the team totaled 1,085 pins, a single-game high for the tournament.
The Mustangs were led by Kaitlin Hofmeister, who placed 15th with a tournament average of 193.56 pins per game. Hofmeister totaled 1,742 pins in the event. Carissa Johnson, who rolled a total of 1,696, finished 22nd. Lexis Schroeder followed, finishing 38th and totaling 1,634 pins, with Morgan Roark rolling a 1,600 and finishing 45th.
Morningside is back at the lanes today and tomorrow, Dec. 20 and 21, competing in the Collegiate Shootout.
