Mustangs finish fifth in Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge
LAWRENCE, KAN. – Morningside women’s bowling earned itself a fifth-place finish in this weekend’s Jayhawk Collegiate Challenge, bowling against a field that included NAIA and NCAA contenders. The Mustangs bowled a two-day total of 6,964, less than 600 pins behind the top team, Wichita State.

Morningside's ranks were led by Lexis Schroeder, who rolled a five-game individual total of 888, with a single-game high of 213. Kaitlin Hofmeister was right behind her with a total of 884, highlighted by a 204 pin game.
Caitlin Charity was the next Morningside bowler, rolling an 860. Carissa Johnson rolled an 845, and Rachel Spier tallied 821 pins to round out Monringside's top five scores.
The Mustangs are back at the lanes on Saturday, Nov. 5, and Sunday, Nov. 6, competing in the Bronco Invite in Hastings, Neb.
