Mustangs fall to no. 13 Dordt

Dordt's victory tonight was largely helped by a 15-4 advantage on points off turnovers and an 11-4 differential in second chance points. The teams matched in total turnovers while Dordt recovered six more rebounds than Morningside.
The Mustangs had four players reach double figures, led by Alexis Spier, who had 15 points off the bench, with nine coming behind the arc. Aspen Jansa followed with 13, and Sophia Peppers and McKenna Sims each had 10.
Peppers led the way in rebounds, with six, followed by Sims, Chloe Lofstrom, and Olivia Larsen, with four each.
Spier had a team-high two steals, while Peppers dished six assists to lead the team.
Morningside, now 1-3 with all three losses coming against teams that were ranked in the top 15 at the time, prepares to host Benedictine on Saturday at 4 p.m.
