Schuster, Harrel named to NFCA All-Region lists
LOUISVILLE, KY. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced its All-Region teams for the 2025 season this week, naming Paige Schuster and Mackenzi Harrel to its honors list, bringing Morningside’s program total to 74 honorees.

Schuster was named a first team selection as a designated player or utility player. The sophomore from Pender, Neb. hit .406 this season with 71 hits and 41 runs. In the field, Schuster tallied a .966 fielding percentage with just two errors in 59 total chances.
Harrel earned second team honors with a .386 batting average and 54 RBIs. The sophomore from Lincoln, Neb., had 12 home runs, 3 triples, and 12 doubles, scoring 43 times with 61 hits. In right field she, like Schuster, had just two errors, in 67 total chances for a .970 fielding percentage.
The NFCA's All-Region awards honor student-athletes from the Association's six NAIA regions with selection to one of two teams. Member head coaches nominate and then vote for the winners in their respective region.
All honorees move forward to be considered for selection for the two NFCA NAIA All-America teams, which will be announced June 5.
The NFCA is the professional organization for fastpitch softball coaches. Known for its highly-regarded coaches polls and All-America awards, the NFCA also educates and supports softball coaches on a variety of different levels: from podcasts to awards, to in-person events and National Convention.
