Mustangs place eighth at GPAC Cross Country Championships
RC Hicks led the Mustangs with a 39-point, 47th-place finish, as he ran the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28 minutes, 35.46 seconds. His first 1,000-meter split was 3:18.70.
ASHLAND, Neb. – The Morningside University men's cross country team placed eighth as a group on Saturday at the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championships.
Morningside scored 221 points.
RC Hicks led the Mustangs with a 39-point, 47th-place finish, as he ran the 8,000-meter course in a time of 28 minutes, 35.46 seconds. His first 1,000-meter split was 3:18.70.
Braden Sonksen was 49th, as he placed 49th. His first kilometer was run in 3:23.88.
Blake Cerveny completed his race in 29.38.15, good for 54th place. Austin Ramold placed 59th, crossing the finish line in 30:15.45.
Casey Kruger finished in 60th. His time was 30:25.10. He finished the final kilometer in 3:31.17, the second-fastest behind Hicks.
The final three runners for the Mustangs were: Rodrigo Lopez (32:25.12) in 73rd, Jose Lopez (33:01.93) 77th, and Gabriel Mora (34:24.35) in 81st.
