Riedemann among Top 5 finishers at USD
VERMILLION, S.D. — The Morningside men’s track and field team picked up multiple Top 5 finishes Friday night at the South Dakota Twilight meet, highlighted by another win from Theo Moseman and strong sprint performances from Lane Kruger.
VERMILLION, S.D. — The Morningside men's track and field team picked up multiple Top 5 finishes Friday night at the University of South Dakota Twilight meet, highlighted by another win from Theo Moseman and strong sprint performances from Lane Kruger.
Moseman continued his standout outdoor season by winning the 400 meters in 48.04, giving the junior another event title heading into the final stretch of the season.
Kruger added a pair of Top 3 finishes in the sprints for the Mustangs. The sophomore placed second in the 100 meters in 10.79 before taking third in the 200 meters in 21.98 against a competitive field.
In the hurdles, Boston Riedemann turned in a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.25. Riedemann later competed in the 200 meters as well, while Jack Kling added a seventh-place finish in the same event in 23.01.
Morningside also saw a strong effort in the field events from Luke Paulsen, who placed third in the javelin with a throw of 48.94 meters (160-6).
Elsewhere, Kael Hamann placed 10th in the 800 meters and crossed in 2:04.83, while Chayton Rowe added a ninth-place finish in the 100 (12.15).
