Mustangs record nine Top 10 finishes at Mount Marty Twilight Meet

YANKTON, S.D. — The Morningside University men's outdoor track and field team collected nine Top 10 finishes Wednesday at the Mount Marty Twilight Meet.
Parker Halder earned two of those placings. He was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10 minutes, 11.67 seconds. He also finished ninth in the 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 16 minutes flat.
The Mustangs' 1,600-meter relay team ended the night with a fifth-place finish. The quartet of Jose Lopez, Aidan Long, Eein McKinley, and Oscar Benitez united to run it in 4:10.30.
The 100-meter dash included two Mustangs finishing in the Top 10: Jaydon Moore (10.85, 6th) and Lane Kruger (10.98, 9th).
Kimunule Gbaley was sixth in the 400-meter run, running it in 50.58 seconds. Then, in the 200, Kruger was seventh in 22.27 seconds.
Morningside had two additional ninth-place finishes. Boston Riedemann was ninth in the 400-meter hurdles in 60.19 seconds, then Cade Johnson ended up there during the 800 in 1:58.40.
