Mustangs make debut at Wildcat Classic

WAYNE, NEB. – Morningside made its debut for the 2024 spring track and field season in the Wayne State Wildcat Classic.
The Mustangs' top finisher was Eli Ebel, who took the no. 9 spot in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.01. Ebel also ran for 11th place in the 110-meter hurdles.
In field events, it was Luke Paulsen who took 11th place in the discus throw, with a mark of 40.58 meters. Keyan Fulton added an 11th place finish in the javelin today, throwing 41.88 meters.
Fulton also placed 12th in the shot put, recording a 13.59 meter mark.
The Mustangs continue their opening week tomorrow, as part of the squad competes in the Central Methodist University Invite in Fayette, Mo.
