Morningside reaches program season milestone

STORM LAKE, IOWA – The freshman tandem of Mikhil Raja (Belvedere Harare, Zimbabwe) and Eduard Salvana (Calella, Spain) sparked Morningside University in non-conference dual play Monday, April 11.

Raja turned in a perfect win at number three singles, not allowing Buena Vista University's Dalton Pegron to claim a game win. Salvana almost repeated the feat at number four. However, BV's Brock Burns earned a game win in the second set. 

Their efforts were part of five of six singles triumphs and a doubles sweep for head coach Alex Struck's team. An 8-1 win over their NCAA Division III hosts moved Mside to 10 dual victories, marking the first time since 2012 that the program had reached double digits.

Morningside (10-6) wraps up its 2022 regular season campaign Saturday, April 23, at Hastings College.
