The Mustangs dispatched visiting Mount Marty University 7-0 on both sides of the men's and women's competition at Mason Family Tennis Complex. Head coach Alex Struck's squads received 6-0, 6-0 singles triumphs from junior Merel Kooij (Rockanje Zuid, Netherlands) for the women and junior Jaime Maza Martin (Madrid, Spain) and freshman Mikhil Raja (Belvedere Harare, Zimbabwe) for the men.
That theme wasn't relegated to singles action. Maza Martin and freshman Eduard Salvana (Calella, Spain) and juniors Aleks Sadowska (Warsaw, Poland) and Shelain Lewis (Ironton, Minn.) blanked their Lancers foes in doubles action.
Morningside, improving to 6-5 overall and 1-0 in league play on the women's side and 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference on the men's side, continues a current home conference schedule Saturday, March 26. Start time versus Concordia University is noon at the Mason Family Tennis Complex.
