Trio of Mustangs Lands NAIA Championship Invites

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Mustangs have landed themselves invites to the 2026 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Men's Swimming and Diving National Championship, held March 4-7 in Elkhart, Ind. 

Those three Morningsiders are Pedro Fernandes, John Spicer, and Santiago Vilches.

Fernandes holds the no. 21 time in the 100-yard butterfly, with a 50.17 second race.

Spicer ranks no. 19 in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in with a time of 1:41.19. He's also no. 21 in the 100-yard freestyle with an entry time of 45.47 seconds.

Vilches qualifies as no. 11 in the 200-yard backstroke, with a seed time of 1:51.00.
