Ciriaco receives top CoSIDA academic honor

Morningside University sophomore men's swimming student-athlete Joe Ciriaco was tabbed a second team CoSIDA (Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America) National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics' Academic All-American with the teams' release Tuesday, June 14.

The Papillion, Neb., native, a history major with a 3.80 grade-point average, was one of two Great Plains Athletic Conference representatives honored, joining Concordia University of Nebraska's Joe Bindl who was also a second team selection. Ciriaco was the fifth Morningside 2021-22 awardee marking a second successive year and 10^th time since 2011 the athletic programs have earned five-or-more Academic All-American accolades.
