Morningside, who played a man up for the final 10 minutes of the contest, was unable to find the net despite a 10-7 shot advantage.
Jordan Bickel led the Mustangs on the attack, as the only Morningsider with more than one shot.
In the goal, Timon Koerber had a pair of saves, while Tim Teschler was untried in the second half.
The Mustangs will play Maharishi International at 1 p.m. on Friday at Elwood Olsen Stadium.
