Tobias Allerstorfer got the scoring started for the Mustangs, putting the ball in net at the 26-minute, 38-second mark. Leonard Hohner and Javier Ruchelli had assists on Allerstorfer's goal.
Tassilo Koerner scored the second goal in the 62nd minute, unassisted.
Morningside took seven shots, while Park took nine. Both teams had four shots on goal. Tim Teschner earned two saves in the tie.
