Mustangs fall to Midland in men's soccer
SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs were hoping to lift themselves following a tough tie at Briar Cliff earlier this week, but Midland University’s Warriors weren’t ready to let that happen, derailing Morningside’s hopes in the 3-0 men’s soccer loss.

SIOUX CITY, IOWA – The Mustangs were hoping to lift themselves following a tough tie at Briar Cliff earlier this week, but Midland University's Warriors weren't ready to let that happen, derailing Morningside's hopes in the 3-0 men's soccer loss.
The Mustangs played Midland close through the first half, with the game winner coming just before halftime. It was downhill from there as the Warriors put two more in the net early in the second half, running away with the contest.
Robin Thomala had Morningside's offensive lead, with two shots on goal and three overall.
The Mustangs had Bjarne Huth in goal, who came up with five saves in the contest, but had the three goals skip by him.
Morningside is back on the pitch on Saturday, playing Mount Marty at 3:30 p.m.
