Cavanaugh named GPAC Men's Golfer of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — Morningside's Ryan Cavanaugh has been named the GPAC Men's Golfer of the Week following his victorious performance at the Mount Marty Invitational.

Cavanaugh captured medalist honors with a two-round total of 141, finishing three strokes clear of the field at 3-under-par. He opened with a 70 and followed it with a 71, steadying his play across both rounds. Cavanaugh carded four birdies in the tournament to pace the Mustangs.

His effort led Morningside to a strong team showing in its fall opener and marked an early highlight in the senior's 2025 campaign. The Mustangs are at home Monday and Tuesday during the Mustang Derby.
