Mustangs take team title at Iowa Central Spring Invite

FORT DODGE, Iowa – Morningside trailed by three shots after the first round of the Iowa Central Spring Invite Friday, but scored just 10-over as a team in round two to win the event Saturday in Fort Dodge.

The Mustangs finished 25-over par for the tournament to win the team title by three shots. Morningside defeated the next closest GPAC team by 15 shots. 

Pablo Colin placed second individually at 2-over. He scored 1-over 72 during both rounds of the event. Braden Bernaldo placed ninth at 8-over. Brandon Gratton and Edgar Eriksson tied for 16th at 10-over and Philip Mangset tied for 22nd at 12-over.

The Mustangs are back in action at the Red Raider Classic Monday in Orange City.
