Mustangs win The Saints Classic to finish fall schedule
NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Mustangs picked up another team win Tuesday, outlasting Bethel and Roosevelt for a narrow win at The Saints Classic at Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Indiana Monday and Tuesday.

Morningside was third after the opening day after a 29-over par 313 Monday. Roosevelt was the first day leader at 20-over and Illinois Central was second at 27-over. The Mustangs didn't have the best team score Tuesday either, as Bethel beat them out by one shot for the best score of the second round, but a two-shot advantage on Bethel after day one was enough of a cushion.
The final tally put Morningside at a two round total of 619. Bethel came in second at 620 and Roosevelt third at 621. Individually, Pablo Colin finished the tournament tied for third with a 10-over 152. Colin scored a 75 on Monday and a 77 Tuesday to pace the Mustangs.
Braden Bernaldo tied for eighth individually at 155 and Jackson Mann and Philip Mangset tied for 11th with one other golfer at 156. Brandon Gratton scored a 165 and Will Topolski scored 167.
Morningside concludes their fall schedule with four tournament victories, including The Saints Classic. Morningside men's golf returns to action in the spring to gear up for the GPAC Championship.
