The quartet of seniors Sam Storey (Surrey, England), Jonny Douglas (Newcastle upon Tyne, England) and Xan Milligan (Hexham, England), and junior Jackson Sitzmann (Sioux City, Iowa) each concluded 18 holes in the sub-70s among the brisk and breezy conditions. Storey's 66 left him only one shot behind medalist Thomas Craig of Iowa Western Community College; Douglas' 68 was part of a three-way tie for third; and Milligan and Sitzmann's twin 69s situated them in a tie for sixth.
All of those accolades were part of a scintillating 272 team score. The mark captured Northwestern College's Red Raider Cup by nine strokes but was important for an even more significant reason. The score set a new program standard for one-round tournament play.
